One of the issues we’ve faced in building the case for a public high school in Stittsville is that there are some key pieces of data which are not available. For example, we don’t know how many students transfer to the catholic school system from the public school system so they can attend a closer school.
That’s why we’ve decided to conduct a survey to allow parents and other taxpayers to express their opinions about current and future secondary school needs in the Stittsville area. Our survey is now live and we would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to give us feedback and help us to build support.

We will be presenting the information to the Ottawa Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) later in June and subsequently to the Ministry of Education so they can make more informed capital funding decisions over the coming weeks and months, especially regarding a public high school in Stittsville.
The survey explores a range of topics related to preferences of parents and other taxpayers (e.g. public school versus other options; distance; course offerings, etc.). This information is critical to understanding how many Stittsville residents are choosing the catholic school board, given the fact that there is no public high school in Stittsville.
Please complete the survey by June 15, 2015.
